The government is set to launch its business growth voucher scheme at the end of the month, in an attempt to educate and encourage the growth of small businesses across the country.
As part of the scheme, small businesses will receive vouchers to redeem against the cost of business advice from a number of organisations involved in the programme. The government will match any spend on business advice, up to a total of £2,000 per business.
Businesses can use the vouchers on professional advice on managing cashflow, late payments and negotiating finance; developing skills and taking on staff; improving leadership and management; marketing, attracting and keeping customers; and making the most of digital technology.
Once the scheme is launched, businesses will be able to apply via a government website for the growth vouchers, which will be randomly allocated to applicants.
