News: Google Business Photos Add Another Layer to Search Results

Google Business Photos may have launched in the UK 5 months ago, but it’s likely you haven’t heard much about them until now. Awareness of the service is rising rapidly, and more small businesses are taking advantage of the opportunity to have internal photos of their premises available on the web.

Google Business Photos offers a 360 degree experience of your business for potential customers. A virtual tour of your premises will now be available alongside your business’ listing on Google Maps and Google Places, so those that find you via the search engine will be able to look at your business inside and out.

This is an opt-in service and it does come at a price – you need to arrange a photo shoot with a Google trusted photographer, who will charge a fee. Here’s how it looks:

It allows potential customers to get a good look at the interior, and a real feel of the atmosphere. This will be of benefit to bars, restaurants, entertainments venues, as well as other small businesses like spas, hairdressers and beauty salons.

If you’re a small business, the ability to take a sneaky peek inside could be enough to give you an edge over your local competitors. Would you consider it? Leave us a comment to let us know.
