Small business website of the week: The London Hog Roast Company

The London Hog Roast Company Hog Lamb BBQ Spit Roast We Do Them All

The London Hog Roast Company was established in April this year by Steven and Kinga Odendaal, who decided to go it alone after being part of a previous successful business venture. Their aim is to bring authentic, high quality South African style roasting food to the British public by catering for weddings, corporate events, private parties and birthdays. Having never run the marketing side of a business, both said “This might be our second catering company website but it surely feels like our first one, as neither have dealt with both the marketing and cooking departments at the same time.”

Steven and Kinga needed a professional website which was easy to manage alongside the other tasks of running their business. They took advantage of bOnline’s professional design and setup package, which provided them with a customised website which is easy to update at any time. They said “The website is very user friendly.”

As with all bOnline websites, The London Hog Roast Company website has built-in SEO capabilities, with easy to follow instructions on optimising the website for search engines.

Steven and Kinga have established a strong presence for their new company on social networks, including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram, all of which are linked to the company’s website.

The new website has helped to attract customers to The London Hog Roast Company. Steven said “Running for the first year, the amount of business we received as a new company was fantastic!” The website now attracts over 380 views per month.

The website’s SEO capabilities have paid off – the site now ranks number one on Google search results for ‘hog roast in London’, and on page one for ‘hog roast’.

Kinga said “I’m very pleased with the price and bOnline, as they did make the process for us starting a new business website very simple and easy.”
