Small businesses are being given a once in a lifetime opportunity to sell in one of Britain’s busiest shopping areas, thanks to a new pop-up initiative in London’s Piccadilly.
PopUp Britain has announced a new pop-up shop in the capital’s new St James’s Gateway development. PopUp Britain is offering up to 60 retail start-ups the opportunity to sell their products in week-long stints in the new premises.
Emma Jones, co-founder of StartUp Britain, said “Securing a store like this in St James’s Piccadilly is like hitting the retail jackpot! We expect to be inundated by applications from British start-up businesses eager to get their products onto one of the busiest shopping streets in the world.”
The shop will open on August 12 and will trade for six weeks. The theme for the first week will be ‘Made in Britain’.
