This week, SplashData published its list of the most popular – and therefore unsafe – passwords. The rather unimaginative ‘password’ tops the list for the second year in a row.
With businesses storing their most important data online or on computer systems, a strong password is critical for the protection of business data. With passwords such as ‘123456’ and ‘abc123’, a hacker can easily guess their way into your systems and steal sensitive data.
Here’s the top 25 passwords for this year, along with their previous rankings. If your password appears in the list, it’s definitely time for a change!
