The role

We’re serious about copy and connecting the dots for customers through story-telling. We need a brilliant all-around copy and content superstar to help spread the word(s). Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll be the go-to writer in supporting our sales and marketing functions with content and emails that get people signing up.

You’ll also work closely with Senior Management, and product and content teams to create campaigns translating information into simple, engaging content that focuses on lead generation.

  • Use our unique voice to create compelling content that informs, engages and converts
  • Create campaigns around pain points and solutions – and execute both short/long-form copy
  • Interview and create compelling case studies of our customers
  • Produce engaging, informative long-form articles with SEO value 
  • Craft compelling website copy, guides, ebooks, blog posts, social media posts, email campaigns, and articles that inspire engagement and promote bOnline.
  • Own copywriting for marketing collateral and customer communications (email newsletters & product updates).
  • Assisting with internal communications.
  • Respond to ad-hoc copy requests/queries
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the Marketing team

Required skills & experience

You’ll have a proven track record working directly on a range of projects in which you’ve played a significant role.

  • A degree in English, journalism, or related marketing or communications field (highly desirable) 
  • Minimum of 12 months experience as a copywriter or similar role
  • Excellent writing, grammar and editing skills with the ability to write in our brand tone 
  • Solid experience in content writing, ideally with a small business focus or very interested in this sector
  • Demonstrate an ability to articulate complicated ideas into understandable, compelling and creative copy
  • Samples of your work showcasing excellent copy skills

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Solid understanding of SEO research and ranking factors for content creation
